Assassin's Creed III
has sold 7 million units since launch, becoming Ubisoft's
fastest-selling game in history, the company announced today. The
stealth-action game launched October 30 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3
and sold 3.5 million units during its first week.
Assassin's Creed III released on Wii U November 18 and came to PC November 20.
In addition to announcing new worldwide sales figures for Assassin's Creed III, Ubisoft also broke down in-game statistics. In single-player
missions alone, players have tallied more than 82 centuries of game
time, performing in excess of 3 billion assassinations along the way.
Multiplayer for Assassin's Creed III was also a bright spot. Ubisoft
said Assassin's Creed III attracted more than double the number of
players compared to Assassin's Creed: Revelations. In addition, players have performed over 250 million assassinations in more than 5 billion multiplayer sessions since launch.
