Assassin's Creed Movie Gets a Screenwriter

The Assassin's Creed movie got its star months ago, and now it has someone to write the damn thing. His name is Michael Lesslie and unfortunately he hasn't done any big-name movies. He is mostly known for writing the scripts for the short films Heavy Metal Drummer and Skirt, along with some theater projects. His IMDB page is pretty darn barren, for now.

Assassin's Creed is a collaborative effort between Ubisoft Motion Pictures and New Regency and the-guy-who's-in-everything-all-of-a-sudden Michael Fassbender is set to star.

Ubisoft also has movies in the works for Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell, which already has Tom Hardy lined up to play Sam Fisher. These guys are busy.

Who knows if any of these projects will ever see the light of day, but let's hope that if they do they turn out well, unlike so many other movies based on video games.
